Tena koutou,

From August this year I have been employed by Mahaki Trust to complete an Education Capability and Capacity Report.  

This position has been supported by each of the 12 Marae Trustee representatives on the board of Trustees of Mahaki Trust.  

This position will involve networking closely with our Marae whanau and communities to develop and implement a Mahaki education 

capability and capacity report for each marae.

To complete this report we will need to conduct an environmental scan to identify where Te Aitanga a Mahaki iwi education capacity, and capability is.  

This will then allow us to clearly see the benchmarks of the three objectives.  

These meetings will allow us to ratify the objectives.

Mahaki Education Plan Objectives

• To establish te reo me ona tikanga strategy

• To establish centres of learning excellence

• To establish a Mahaki leader succession
